I enjoyed Game Developers Conference so much more than E3. I'll be in the minority on that, I'm sure, but for a couple days it really seemed less like a bunch of game execs showing off stuff, and more like a big creative community, which I really dug.

Our showing at the conference could not have been any more perfect (Well okay, it could have been had they not inexplicably cut off our intro video). The Shadow of the Colossus/Ico team thanking us in their acceptance speech was one of the best moments of my entire life. I'm still glowing after it. For some odd reason, it just brought everything full circle for me. I remembered being back in high school, being obsessed with Ico, and hanging out with Derrick backstage, yelling annoying noises from the game just to get a reaction. Fast forward to years later. Derrick and I are doing the same thing, only now it's being filmed and shown to everyone I've ever idolized. It was jarring.

I have been more proud of Mega64 this week than I ever have been. The fact that I have been able to share these incredible experiences with my best friends, just by being retarded and continuing why we enjoyed being around each other in the first place, is astonishing. I feel like I don't even deserve this. It really is pretty retarded.

I guess the ultimate question is...

Would you rather have sex with Jack from Lost or Rosie O'Donnell? Ask all your guy friends this, you'll learn something really interesting.

Whatev, dude...Mega64 is awesome! My fiancee and I watch it all the time and have gotten tons of our friends into it. It's funny stuff and you guys deserve every iota of praise and recognition you get. We're chomping at the bit waiting for volume 2.

As for your last question, don't ask things like that when people are eating breakfast. Not cool... :P

Good stuff man - hope you got lots of footage of you and the guys being retarded AT the conference.

Keep us posted on Version 2... which is definitly being anticipated like you wouldn't believe.

Also, not answering this, but Jack seems a bit more femme-ish than Rosie.

goddam right GDC is better than E3.

So I talked to like the only english-speaking guy on the Ico/SOTC team the day after the awards, and he said he'd like a copy of the sketch. I'll give you his info when I find his card again.

Rocco, that's wonderful to hear. Is there any change that there'll be footage of GDC shenannigans in the near future?

Also, I wanted to thank you for throwing in the ComicCon DVD-- my wife and I watching pretty much the entire set in one sitting and laughed our asses off. Thanks a lot; you owe us for ass-replacement surgery.
