Super Paper Mario is really boring.

I dunno, it's just more RPG than I wanted, I guess, and the only time I'm into RPGs are when they have interesting/captivating/badass stories. SPM is in none of those categories. SPM is in the "hur hur" category.

I guess it doesn't help when you're getting interrupted by phone calls all day asking for interviews about Andrew Rosenblum. I had no idea I was in his top 8 friends on Myspace. I've been seeing my picture with Miyamoto scroll by on the news channels all night. Crazy.

Long day tomorrow. Dying to play a fun video game before sleep. Can't think of one.

I think the gameplay's fun enough, but there is quite a bit of unnecessary talking going on. I liked in the Paper Mario and the Mario & Luigi games how most of the dialog stayed within the characters; there wasn't much narration or long cutscenes with the bad guys. Which isn't to say long dialogue is bad-- I love MGS games pretty much because of it -- but it's not really working in SPM. I'm enjoying it enough, though.

And don't say anything bad about Andrew. He might KILL YOU.

I rented it from Blockbuster and returned it the next day. I was hoping for more of New Super Mario Brothers' gameplay.

No, I love dialogue in games, nothing to me is better than good dialogue and a compelling story. I just think the story in SPM is mostly hollow, and the balance between it and the gameplay just isn't there. For the record, though, I loved Superstar Saga.
